Priyanka Chopra is one badass girl! She knows well how
to rule the world! Recently, the leggy lass took the pink carpet by
storm at the popular Billboard Music Awards 2016 and now it's her latest
photoshoots, which has yet again brought her back to the limelight.
In her June/July cover story of 'Complex', PeeCee
talked about the stereotype she faced as a Bollywood actress and told,
"I was very sure I did not want to be the stereotype of what Indian
people are seen as, which is Bollywood, and henna," she says. "That's
all great! It's what we are, and I love it... but that's not all we
are." While in an interview with Emmy, she talked about facing racism in
America. She said, "I grew up having my own opinions and knowing what
that meant. But I was always really conscious of the way I looked, and
high school is hard for anyone."
"I attracted a lot of attention. Nobody looked like me
in my school. I was skinny with crazy, frizzy hair. It was like 'Mean
Girls'. There was one girl who was just super evil. She kept calling me
Brownie, and saying, 'Go back to your country, you smell like curry' -
and I didn't, by the way. She was so mean to me."
