They say that some pairs are made in heaven and going
by the immense success that these Actor-Director duos receive on the
release Fridays, these were definitely made up there.
1) Ranveer Singh - Sanjay Leela Bhansali
Ranveer’s career went on an all-time high soon after
Ram Leela, which is where their incredible compatibility came to light.
Bajirao Mastani happened and voila, Ranveer won the Filmfare for the
Best Actor! If the rumours are to believed then the duo is coming back
with ‘Padmavati’ and we couldn’t be happier!
2) Aamir Khan - Rajkumar Hirani
Only Rajkumar Hirani could’ve successfully portrayed a
40-years-old Aamir as a college boy and only Aamir could’ve done
complete justice to it. After the immense success of 3 Idiots, they
reunited for P.K. where they worked their magic once again. It's safe to
say that when it comes to the Aamir - Rajkumar partnership, All Is Well
(at the box office)!
3) Shahid Kapoor - Vishal Bhardwaj
Kaminey, directed by Vishal, came as a blessing in
disguise for Shahid Kapoor back when he was struggling to find good
roles. And years later, they came back for Haider which is undoubtedly
one of the most wonderful performances of Shahid so far! Vishal brings
out the best in Shahid and we love this duo for that.
4) Salman Khan - Kabir Khan
Salman and Kabir’s partnership started with Ek Tha
Tiger. The audience loved their work and they came together yet again
for Bajrangi Bhaijaan, which happens to be one of the highest grossing
Bollywood films of all time! They will be reuniting for Tubelight, which
has already created a lot of buzz in the press.
5) Ranbir Kapoor - Imtiaz Ali
Rockstar was a film which showed us a completely different side of
Ranbir, far from the classic chocolate-boy image that he had carried
with him for a long time. Tamasha was another path-breaking film which
earned accolades from critics as well as the audiences. It’s safe to say
that whenever Imtiaz and Ranbir pair up for a film, the product is
always a charmer!
6) Shahrukh Khan - Farah Khan
It all started with Main Hoon Na, which was Farah’s
directorial debut. The audiences loved the film and together, they hit
the box office yet again with Om Shanti Om which managed to rule
theatres for quite a long time. But the same couldn’t be said about
Happy New Year. Well, you win some and you lose some.
7) Akshay Kumar - Neeraj Pandey
Neeraj Pandey had already made his mark as a revered
director with ‘A Wednesday’. When they paired up for Special 26, the
audiences were wowed, to say the least, and they worked the same magic
with Baby. You guys need to come back for another movie SOON!
Keep them blockbusters coming, guys!
